Soul Crystal Properties

Overview

Soul crystals add additional properties to weapons and armor they are inserted into.
Soul crystals can be inserted into weapons and armor of D-grade and higher.
Soul crystals can be inserted into:
- common weapons;
- sealed weapons;
- special weapons: boss' weapons and Death Knight's Flame Sword.
Soul crystals cannot be inserted into:
- time-limited weapons;
- sealed armor, shields and sigils;
- weapons with changing stats (e.g., Aden weapons).
There are 2 types of soul crystals: common and special.

Soul crystal properties depend on the inserted crystal and not on a weapon's grade.
Soul crystals can be inserted into equipment, replaced with new ones (old soul crystals are destroyed) and extracted.

Soul Crystal Level Up

Each soul crystal has 20 levels.
The higher a soul crystal's level, the stronger its properties available upon insertion.
A soul crystal's level can be increased through compounding.

Compounding process

Compounding requires two soul crystals of the same type. You cannot compound two soul crystals of different types (e.g., Aden's Crystal + Hardin's Crystal).
Press in your inventory to open the Compounding UI.
Add a soul crystal of Lv. 1-19 to the left slot and a soul crystal Lv. 1 of the same type to the right slot to compound them. Example: Aden's Soul Crystal Lv. 8 + Aden's Soul Crystal Lv. 1 = Aden's Soul Crystal Lv. 9 or Hardin's Soul Crystal Lv. 2 + Hardin's Soul Crystal Lv. 1 = Hardin's Soul Crystal Lv. 3.
- The right slot is for a soul crystal of Lv. 1 only.
There is a chance of failure when leveling up soul crystals:
- If you succeed, you will get a soul crystal that is 1 level higher than the crystal in the left slot.
- In case of failure the soul crystal in the left slot will be degraded by a certain number of levels, depending on its level before compounding. The soul crystal in the right slot will be destroyed.

Soul Crystal Insertion

To insert a soul crystal, double-click on it in your inventory.
- Also, you can talk to NPC Game Assistant or Blacksmith in any town (except for the starting villages).
To insert a soul crystal, you must have it in your inventory along with required materials.
Soul crystals can be inserted even into equipped weapons.
Inserting a soul crystal doesn't affect equipment's enchanting and augmenting effects.
2 common soul crystals and 1 special soul crystal can be inserted into a weapon.
While inserting a soul crystal, you can choose its property. You cannot choose the same property for common soul crystals. To learn more, see: Soul Crystal Properties .
Soul crystal insertion success rate is always 100%.

Insertion process

Open the Soul Crystal UI.
Choose a weapon in the inventory to the right and right-click on it or drag it to the weapon slot in the left part of the UI.
Choose a soul crystal, right-click on it or drag it to one of the corresponding slots in the left part of the UI.
There are 3 slots for soul crystals: the top and middle ones are for common soul crystals (Aden's), and the bottom one is for a special soul crystal (Hardin's).
Choose the second and the third soul crystals, if necessary.
Choose properties for each crystal and press 'Registration'. Press 'Cancel' if you want to choose another soul crystal.
When all soul crystals are added, press 'Insert'. The window with the list of chosen properties will appear.
You will be prompted to confirm your choice. If you want to change something, press 'Cancel'.

Soul Crystal Replacement

Note! Upon replacement, old soul crystals are destroyed.

Soul crystals inserted in a weapon can be replaced. To do that, talk to NPC Game Assistant or Blacksmith in any town.
A new soul crystal replaces the old one.
Replacing a soul crystal doesn't affect equipment's enchanting and augmenting effects.
Soul crystal replacement success rate is always 100%.

Replacement process

Open the Soul Crystal UI.
Choose a weapon with a soul crystal inserted and right-click on it or drag it to the corresponding slot in the left part of the UI.
Choose a soul crystal, drag it to the slot with the current one, then choose a property for the new crystal and press 'Registration'. Press 'Cancel' if you want to choose another soul crystal.
Keep in mind that upon changing the previously inserted soul crystal will be destroyed. You will be prompted to confirm your choice.
Choose a property for the new soul crystal and press 'Registration'.

Soul Crystal Extraction

A previously inserted soul crystal can be extracted and inserted into another weapon.
Talk to NPC Game Assistant or Blacksmith to extract a soul crystal.
Soul crystal extraction success rate is always 100%.
An extracted soul crystal will appear in your inventory.

Extraction process

Press button on the side bar to open the Game Assistant dialogue and choose 'Enhancement and Services' → 'Add special properties' → 'Extract a crystal'. Also, you can talk to NPC Blacksmith in any town, except for the starting villages.
Choose a weapon with a soul crystal inserted and right-click on it or drag it to the corresponding slot in the left part of the UI.
Press the Extract button at the soul crystal you wish to extract.
You will be prompted to confirm your choice.

Insertion, Replacement and Extraction Fees

There is a fee in gemstones for inserting, replacing and extracting soul crystals.
The fee depends on a crystal's type and level.
